I can't lie, that's been the case with me. Sure I've been busy since our move but to be honest I could have made time to finally get the shownotes together but I have been plumb tired but it's no excuse to get this podcast out. Been going through a lot and learning about myself, about how much I love music is truly important to me because it is an outlet for me in so many ways.
For me, music has always been and will be the soundtrack of my life. The thing I love about blending different genres of music is that it is your interpretation of how you feel at the moment...from jazz, to rock, to R&B, to country...for me my motto is "If it's quality music, I will listen. I have wanted to put something together for a very long time. It's funny growing up watching movies and watching television shows I did not know many composers were famous in they own right and many years later and now with the wonderful word of technology I'm able to bring you some of favorite tunes from movies and TV shows I never get tired of watching. (Special thanx to the one and only Todd Kelley for helping me complete this podcast one of my favorite TV show themes (Teardrop by Massive Attack).
This is over 90 minutes of music. I should have stopped at 60 minutes but when it comes to these kind of podcasts I can't help but make them lengthy because so much great music I want to share, I could have made it a two-part podcast but I know me, I would have slacked and never got around to it so sorry for the length for my followers who may burn it to CDs but charge my mind not my heart.

I'm upset with myself because I only have two of his 8 LPs but it's going to be my mission to get the rest of his music because this guy was truly a gifted bassist. Last Friday he lost his battle with cancer but even dealing with that it seems he passed on so much love to his lovely wife and his children, musicians, former teammates on how to love life, do not take anything for granted.
The selections I bring you are from his "Hang Time" and "Way Up!" albums and I happened to "sneak" in some tracks where for me the bassline really jumped out at me from these artists(Walter Becker, Marcus Miller, Chuck Rainey, Michael Manring). I am so thankful to be able to bring you this spotlight on Wayman Tisdale and I am so thankful that he has left behind a wonderful music library for us to check out over and over again. I hate to say "Rest In Peace" because by Wayman being a Christian I KNOW that I KNOW he's in a better place. May blessings to his wife and his children. Our prayer are with you in this time of sadness but I know when you see that smile of his in photos it brings a huge smile to your face...I know it brightens my heart when hearing his music and seeing that "Billion Dollar" smile of his.

It's something when you think God is not listening to you, you feel like He is not answering your prayers, you cry out to Him and just when you think you can't take any more He allows a "little" more to pile on you and just when you are on your knees, you can't cry even when you try you and feel like "enough is enough" that is when God comes through...in the midnight hour.
I am learning that the stronger your faith the more He will allow in your life and I'm learning that for me it is teaching me two things: (one) I realize no matter how strong I think I am I can do nothing with God, no way, no how (two) When the breakthrough comes I can give thanks to know but my Lord and Savior because He presses my back to the wall and then breaks through that wall.
These past weeks I have rushed into God's word, listening to God's word, listening to men of God, listening to God fearing business men when it comes to success, realizing where my strength comes from, realizing the God truly has not put a spirit of fear in me and begin to truly believe that "If God is for me, who can be against me?"
This collection of compositions for me represents for me to always push forward and not to look back, to truly begin to realize that when you fail it is an event, not who I am (a failure). I'm learning to be comfortable in my skin, to smile more, believing that I am "truly and wonderfully made"...
and so are you, never forget that.
13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.

this is not right....
I am in training with about 10-15 people and I feel so alone; but when i head to the second job at night and I am by myself I feel so whole. Is the backwards? I don't think so because I do not like nonsense. I wish I could just come in to a job, people just do what they suppose to do...you know, "work". Instead, I hear people talking while the instructor is trying to teach his lessons, when going on break in break room where you can use your cell phone or use the wall phones that are available and I hear "baby momma's drama", chicks yelling at "Tyrone" for just laying around the house. A perfect world for me would be that if I had to work around women they watched shows on USA Network/HGTV/NatGeo/The Travel Channel. They listen to podcasts, they dress modest, the woman are polite, nice, and up front with you in a professional manner...no head games.
I am 43 now and I have a very low tolerance for foolishness. For me, women that watch Grey's Anatomy/Girlfriends/Sex In The City/TMZ/Access Hollywood/Entertainment Tonight/Oxygen/Lifetime Channel I have no need for them to come around me, be around me. Many of these type of women live in a fantasy world. I know there is no "perfect" person but what I have found out is that some women say they enjoy peace but love nonsense and other woman love peace, work for having peace around them and within themselves. I have also come to realize that for me there is a difference between a "church/Christian woman" and a woman that is a "Follower of Christ Jesus".
Let me make this very clear, not all women that watch T.D. Jakes/Cleflo Dollar/Zachary Timms/Rod Parsely/John Hagee and not like this but many women who watch these pastors say they are Christians but gossip, have bad eating habits, children have no home training, spends like its no tomorrow and then wonder why their lives are in disarray. Where women who watch and listen to pastors like Paul Sheppard/Dr. Charles Stanley/Greg Laurie/Adrian Rogers/Chuck Swindoll/David Jeremiah and that enjoy listening to NPR are more in tune with God's word, strong and yet gentle, they spend money wisely and are very pleasant to be around. I also find out that women that are into computers are some of the coolest women on the planet. I'm I saying that the former pastors I mentioned are bad? Not at all...what I have learned is that these men can teach God's word but it is up to the individual put it into practice.
When I am at my night cleaning job, I am alone, I have my quiet time with Jesus, I have my iPod and I am a happy camper. I can hear myself think, I can let my mind flow. The other thing is that even the people that work inside the building that cleans are very cool. Maybe it's because it's less contact and we are on our own floors...maybe blue collar people have more common/street sense than people that work in corporate America. Either way, it's so nice, so cool to work in this type of environment. This is my time to unwind. I look at working at the night job as exercise(and I get paid for it), solitude, time to re-group.
I have low tolerance for stupidity, whether male or female. I am glad I am married because in this day and age if I was single I think I would marry but I would be so selective that I may be single for the rest of my life. So much drama in this day and age and so many ways of carrying yourself is tolerated it makes my stomach turn. I think I'm like Robert DeNiro's character in "Heat" when he says, "I am 'alone' but I'm not 'lonely'. Maybe I'm getting to an age where I am becoming set in my ways but I don't think so. Maybe I'm getting set in my ways when it comes to people offline because it seems I'm cool with many people online.
Does anyone feel this way?

The more i watch CNN the more peeved I'm getting. Wolf Blizter keeps saying how if Barack does not pick her as VP it may hurt his chances. News flash...Hillary does not run this, Barack an his camp does. This woman has not respected Barack run for the White since day one. Barack has respected her as an opponent and as a woman...can we say the same about Hillary? She has tried to guilt her way to the White House just of her last name. She has taken cheap shots at Obama time and time again (from stating if it was between choosing Obama and McCain, she would have people choose McCain to calling him an "Elite"...If being an Elitist means working hard through life, not painting himself as a victim because of his race, receiving high honors in college and law school...then count me in, Hillary). What's really amazing, and I have said this in an earlier post, how come he gets painted as an "Elitist" and the blatant misstep by one of Hillary supporters when calling an WV woman hardly received no news time. And now Vice President Cheney jokes about some West Virginia people practice incest but yet Barack has been painted as if he's better than most people.>>>more
Today
is going to be a positive day for me. No news, no news, no news. I find
myself having my stomach turned to knots with the news. Not because
this world is in dire shape...this world has been going down hill to me
since the 80s. What made me turn off the television today and I will
leave it off for a while is the fact the oil executives
are BACK on Capitol Hill in reference to the oil price spike. Aren't
they on Capitol Hill every other year with mess and as always nothing
is resolved. We as American citizens know there is no reason for the
the high gas prices but they keep going up and up. I know after Bush
leaves office we will see many documentaries on how we were got with no
Vaseline, we will be angry, hurt, surprised then back to normal and
there lies the problem.
We as citizens, consumers have lost the will to fight. We go to Wal-Mart knowing we will deal with shabby customer service (I mean if I have tell one more cashier not to stuff fifty ga-zillion items into one bag and NOT double bag it I think I may have to...never mind, I do not want to incriminate myself). We go to fast food restaurants and we tell them our orders via drive thru, get to the window and again they stuff everything into one bag, YOU have to ask if you need ketchup, napkins...companies now have the policy, "if they do not ask, don't volunteer". I was really upset that AT&T and Verizon grabbed up most of the bids for 700Mhz auction which means that the "pimps of the cellular corners" will still be able to lock us in to terrible contracts, janky customer service with people who barely speak english and again we will just take it with no Vaseline.
Congress knows we have lost our will to fight back, companies know we have lost our will to fight back, heck I hear time and time again, "There is nothing we can do." We can but we are just to spoiled and impatient to do anything about it...we can fight with our currency but that will not happen. We have to have the latest and greatest, we allow our children to run our homes when it comes to items, many of us live way above our means, no wonder the top shows on television are Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, Desperate Housewives, Jerry Springer, in the end we love disasters and not solutions.
So today for me will be homework, listening to BOTT radio network, finishing converting the Madam Secretary audio cassette book, finding music for my next podcast, watching Dr. Charles Stanley's latest Christian message, watch a couple of tech videocast shows, The Weather Channel, The Travel Channel. No CNN, no MSNBC. Today no garbage, no disappointments, no nonsense...just information that will help me, my queen, my life. Today no politics, no car wrecks, no watching knuckleheads drive around barriers and then getting trapped by flash floods and having others risk their lives for their stupidity.
Today, tomorrow, the rest of my days will be good days. I guess my geek brother called it right about me, I am turning into John C Dvorak and in my eyes that's a darn good thing.

It's
amazing how sometimes I can read God's word and I'm going to be honest,
I can't see how that passage when reading my devotions applies to me
for that day or my understanding of the reading I have to scratch my
head and say, "huh?" But you keep reading God's word, keep obeying the
teachings of Christ Jesus and early morning morning it hits me like a
ton of bricks and I say, "ahh...okay, so that what that means."
This is the only book that sometimes you get the meaning of the passages and sometimes you do not but by asking God for wisdom, insight, directions He will bring understanding of His word your way.
Yesterday was really that time because all day my wife and I ran around because of issues that was going on in reference to my pharmacy license and one by one we say how God was stepping in when we could not do anything more about the situation. We both witnessed that when being persistant, standing on God's word, working as a team, not taking "no" for an answer most times(my wife is great with that...it irks me sometimes but she is who she and I love her for that), not losing your cool and staying joyful and thanking Christ Jesus in the good and bad results came our way.
So this morning, these two devotions from Our Daily Bread and In Touch were those two for me where by going through my valley I can say, "ahh...okay,I get it". This is also what makes our testimony stronger as well, and again let me stress, the results did come from us just sitting on our behinds and just praying because with God's word prayer should always be followed by the action He tells us to perform and many times we as Christians pray to Him and will not act. I learned a deeper meaning of the would "wait". It does not mean I sit around and "wait" for God to come through. I do what I need to do, still in motion while God puts everything in place so when about time I come to a certain place of action in a situation it has already been done.
We as Christians have to keep in mind we are in covenant with God, He's not our "Genie in a bottle". The work is still not over with my license but it will be soon and no matter how it's going on the surface as long as I am keeping to God's word, He will not forsake me, that is His promise and when I have truly given it over to Him 100% every time and just do what I need to do, He has never let me down.
My God is an awesome God.
Be Blessed, Be Safe &
Have a Wonderful Day.
