A long time coming because so many women have contributed to the world of technology and now Frances E. Allen has been recognized by the tech community. She has been award the Turing Award for her work for programs that translate one computer language to another one. The article from CNN.com|Tech is pretty cool. I love learning more and more about the tech community and the pioneers that help us along. Thank you Ms. Allen. Man I'm loving the geek community.
